Yoga Pro was in NYC as a proud sponsor of the widely celebrated 5K EIF /Revlon cancer Run/Walk on May 3, 2008. This was the 11th annual Run/Walk starting in Times Square and ending in the East Meadow of Central Park.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women was launched in 1993 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman and the Entertainment Industry Foundation to support research for cancers that afflict Women and their loved ones, challenged with breast and ovarian cancers.
(This was of personal interest to me, as 2008 marked my 5th year anniversary of being a breast cancer survivor.)
EIF/Revlon Run/Walk is the largest fund raising event of its kind.
Between 35.000-40.000 people participated this year.
We began our sponsorship with a personally guided tour through the brand new studios at Clear Channel Radio Station Headquarters located in lower Manhattan. We received a tremendous response from all of the employee’s when they heard they were receiving complimentary YogaToes and T-shirts.
With the help of a week- long radio spot running prior to the event on New York’s most popular radio station Z100; we handed out over 1000 pink YogaToes in less than an hour, from the Z100 tent set up in Central Park. 100 YogaToes T-shirts were gone in 5 minutes. The demand for YogaToes was huge.
It seems New Yorkers know the importance of having healthy happy feet.
YogaPro is honored to be a part of this very worthy event and hope to be a sponsor again next year.
Next stop, Hollywood!
