Friendly People, Foot Friendly: Friendly House

November 5th, 2008

Saturday, Oct. 18th at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills California, Friendly House held its annual luncheon to raise funds to help women dependent on Alcohol and Drugs. YogaToes was proud to be the Corporate Sponsor of this event.

Friendly House is the oldest woman’s recovery program in the Untied States, currently celebrating their 57th year in assisting women recovering from the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction.

Last year’s woman of the year recipient, Anne Douglass, passed the torch to Aaron Spelling’s widow Candy Spelling. A silent auction was held to help raise money for this non-profit organization, and Katey Sagal of Married with Children fame was the Mistress of ceremonies.

Emmy-nominated actor Matthew Borlenghi attended the Friendly House’s 19th Annual Awards.
He stars in the soap opera days of our lives, formerly known for his role on All my Children.

Another happy YogaToes recipient:

The National Multiple Sclerosis Challenge Walk Event

November 5th, 2008

YogaPro was very proud and honored recently to be able to sponsor the Challenge Walk by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support fundraising which “gives local people with MS access to
specialized MS clinics, medical equipment loans, information services,
symptom management workshops and transportation. In addition, a
significant portion of every dollar raised is used to support
groundbreaking research designed to find new treatments and,
ultimately, a cure for MS.”

You can learn more about the Challenge Walk and MS here.

As a sponsor, YogaPro donated 350 pairs of YogaToes to the event, which features participants who complete a 2-day, 30 mile hike through the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. After all that walking, the YogaToes must have been a big relief. One event coordinator told us recently “They are STILL raving about your product!”

Prim and Propr in Beverly Hills…

October 30th, 2008

David Arquette and Ben Harper launched Propr, their new clothing line, during Los Angeles Fashion week, hosted by GBK productions.

Proceeds from this event went to Art of Elysium Charity.

YogaToes was invited to the Propr clothing launch party held at Courtney Cox and David Arquette’s home in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday, October 15th.  The party was sizzling: a concert by Ben Harper overlooking the magnificent downtown LA vista, a synchronized swimming spectacle in the pool, and of course the infamous catwalk.

Celebrities attending included Laura Dern, David Spade, Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jennifer Aniston, Lance Armstrong, Rosanna Arquette, and the list goes on and on.

YogaToes were chosen over many other products for the celebrities’ gifts.  We all know how well the VIPs take care of their bodies, and now we know they can take care of their feet just as well.  Our feet bear the entire weight of our body.  When your feet hurt, your whole body hurts.  YogaToes help strengthen and align the ligaments and joints in your feet, to help improve posture, balance and circulation.

YogaToes are a mini spa for your feet… any time, any place. You deserve to treat yourself like a “star” and wear YogaToes just like Hollywood celebrities do.
