FAQ
How long does it take before I notice a difference in my nails?
When you use emery boards or metal nail files they cause micro-fractures to your nails. The surface of a Crystal Nail File is so gentle it "seals" the edge of your nails reducing the splitting, cracking and peeling. With extended use your nails will be stronger.
Can I Sterlize my Crystal Foot File by putting it in the dishwasher?
Routine cleaning with soap and water is the best method for removing germs. Scrub your file with an old toothbrush for best results.
Are Crystal Files safe to use on children and babies?
Crystal Nail Files are ideal for use on tiny fragile nails.
Don’t Be Fooled By Cheap Knock-offs
Knockoffs may look similar, but there are distinct differences.
Tempered versus Non-Tempered ~ Glass that is strengthened through the process of heating and then cooling the surface rapidly is known as Tempered Glass. This process creates tensile strength that causes glass to resist breakage.
Etched Grit versus Bonded Grit ~ Epoxy is used to bond grit to the filing surface of cheaper files, which can wear off.
Float Glass Process versus Sheet Glass Process ~ Sheet Glass Process produces a lower quality glass than glass produced using the Float Glass Process.
Thickness ~ Knock-off files are thicker. The Float Glass Process used to produce Genuine Crystal Nail Files controls the thickness of the files.
